The transport company mainly transports Class 8 (corrosive) chemicals and has used rubber-coated steel containers in the past. It has transported hydrochloric acid in one direction and the returning load has been sodium hypochlorite.

The old steel container weighed 3,900 kilos while the new E-CTFE-coated composite container weighs 2,000 kilos. This means that the company can now transport an additional 1,900 kilos of material in both directions. Since the E-CTFE coating is easy to keep clean, less water is required for washing the containers. Also, the materials stay clean. Despite washing, previously transported chemicals were dissolved by the rubber-coated steel container.
