Benefits of composite

The Admor® composite tank offers benefits that cannot be achieved with traditional solutions. A composite tank is an excellent solution when you want to comprehensively improve the efficiency of your transportation operations. In addition to economic benefits, composite tanks also support environmental sustainability.

Get the most advanced composite tanks on the market

With our extensive product range and interior finish options, we can optimize the tanks to meet your specific needs, while increasing efficiency and safety and reducing operating costs and your carbon footprint.

  • A higher payload also reduces fuel costs (per metric ton-kilometer), working hours, and kilometers driven
  • Reduces empty runs, as the materials allow the tank to be used for different chemicals, thereby enabling efficient round-trip transport
  • Reduces the carbon footprint of both transportation and the chemical being transported
  • Meets quality requirements even for strictly regulated liquids, such as chemicals.

There are many reasons to choose composite

Composite tanks can withstand more chemicals than steel tanks.

Composite

resistant to chemicals

Our tanks are highly resistant to chemicals, such as corrosive chemicals (ADR Class 8), the transport of which in a metal tank always requires a separate tank lining. Examples of such chemicals include hydrochloric acid (UN 1789), hypochlorite solution (UN 1791), sulfuric acid of various concentrations (UN 1830, UN 2796), and sodium hydroxide (UN 1824).

The tanks are even more resistant to knocks, stacking and accidents than steel tanks.

The composite is durable

The composite structure does not rust, fatigue, or wear out. The inner surface of the tanks is not prone to damage, unlike the separate coating layer on metal tanks, and it does not require constant monitoring or maintenance. It has also been proven in practice that composite tanks perform exceptionally well in the event of an accident—and are almost always repairable.

On average, composite tanks are 40% lighter than their steel counterparts.

The composite is lightweight

For example, a 28,000-liter semi-trailer with a composite tank can weigh less than 5 metric tons in total, whereas a steel-framed version of the same setup weighs more than 7 metric tons.

In practice, this means that a significantly larger payload can be transported over the same distance, thereby reducing fuel consumption relative to the mass transported. Over the long term, fewer trips are needed, as are fewer loading and unloading operations.

Our tanks can be designed and manufactured with the insulation layer you need.

The composite is energy efficient

The composite effectively maintains the temperature of the transported material, as its structure inherently insulates heat better than a metal structure and contains no thermal bridges.

Easy cleanability also means reduced working time and water consumption.

The composite is

easy to clean

Even difficult-to-handle liquids do not adhere to the inner surface of a fiberglass or plastic-lined tank, making it easier to clean. This allows the same tank to be used for different liquids in both directions, reducing the need to run the tank empty.

Composite tanks also allow for the transport of specialty chemicals that require a high degree of purity. Nothing from the tanks leaches into the substance being transported.

Our containers enhance safety throughout the entire transport chain.

The composite is safe

Tanks manufactured in strict accordance with regulations undergo comprehensive testing and are always inspected by inspection agencies.

Loading and unloading operations always involve risks, and a larger payload reduces these risks. We can equip the tanks with a wide range of safety-enhancing features and equipment.

Even in the event of an accident, a composite tank reduces the risks to those involved, emergency responders, and the environment.
